Cary (pronouns: He/They) is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and holds a PhD in Social Work from the University of Southern California. He has over ten years of experience in the human services and has been a helper to many across settings including in community mental health centers, not-for-profits, healthcare organizations, the military and as a researcher. Cary has worked with students of every age, veteran and military families, and immigrant families. He strives to be an ally to people of all body sizes, shapes, and abilities and has developed a widely recognized expertise in supporting LGBTQIA+ people, especially families with transgender young people.

Cary is a helping professional committed to compassionate listening and speech. He has received training in many modalities to support those with trauma, depression, and anxiety. He centers his practice in an anti-oppressive model that is trauma-informed, psychodynamic and uses many cognitive behavioral tools, especially mindfulness.

Cary has practiced extensively with individuals, couples and families. He finds great joy in helping others unlock their best selves and welcomes the opportunity to build a therapeutic relationship with you.
